BREEDING BEHAVIOR EXPLAINED

For a couple of months now, Zeek has been extremely protective of his cage.  Whenever I open his door he scrambles as fast as he can to stand in the doorway and block my entrance.  I realized that this must be some kind of behavior brought on by hormones, but I wasn't sure why he was displaying such anger towards me while the weather outside has shown no signs of spring.  Well I found a great article here and recommend reading it for anyone interested in decoding their birds wacky behavior at this time of year.  I found the information enlightening and very helpful.
